You will be able to contact conformation clubs through the AKC site and they will also be able to give you information on breeders in the North East. I know it takes time to track down a breeder that will help you. It is best to talk to a lot of people and gain information. If you just buy the first possibility of a pup you could end up with a lot of heartache. I'm just trying to point you in the right direction. I know Long Island has some experienced breeders. It also has some great scammers so look for some one that has had genetic testing done and has a very good contract that protects you as well as the seller. |
Oh trust me I understand, I am looking for advice so thank you for your input! I actually live in Manhattan haha so when I looked breeders up in New York State they are about 6-10 hours away (New York State is pretty huge!) There are NO reputable breeders in Manhattan, there is simply not enough space so I have actually contacted about 15 breeders from the YTCA breeder referral and have found a few that have litters available then so I might just stick with them. I really liked HiHopes Yorkies, not sure if you've heard of her but she seems very nice and knowledgeable. And she is registered on Yorkie Talk too I believe!
