As a woman, I try and try, and am healthy, and my weight is ___ but my best friend barely tries and tries and her weight is still ___! So humans or yorkies, we're all different! IT doesn't mean that skinnier is better or anything like that!
I DID MY RESEARCH! I called over 50 breeders asking about bloodlines, potential health problems, and yes, weight of parents. I wanted to have the best possible chance of having an AKC breed-standard yorkie. Sully's parents were both 6 lb'ers. Ok, so um, Sully is a year-and-a-half old now and is right under 9lbs. Does that mean he's not a yorkie? NO! And does that mean the "tinies" or "teacups" or whatever title you want to give them to divide them from the rest are better? NO!!!
Don't ask about my yorkie's temperament! Don't ask about his length or height! Ask about his dang weight and go ahead and igorantly claim that you are more 'elite' for owning a smaller-sized yorkie. I have no time for ignorance. This site used to be somewhere we'd all brag about our yorkies. Now it's all about size and I'm utterly DISGUSTED. | Thanks val. I guess it's society that's doing this. |
