I have not posted in the past few days and an just catchng up on all of the recent developments and information you have provided since my original reply to you. Which has left me to wonder about the puppies your female could possibly be pregnant with right now. There are several things that come to mind regarding the idea of giving puppies awày to your family members. You have no idea what the health history of these two dogs are other than they came from a shady breeder and you ate upset that you were taken for $3900. With this I'm sympathetic. My question to you is what if the puppies have generic issues that you are not aware of in their background? Are you planning on being financially responsible for any congenital issues you could be producing from a breeding? What if they throw liver shunt or AAI puppies? The cost of surgical correction for a congenital conditionwl be yours. To me this alone would be reason to never breed them. There must have Ben good reason for this puppy miller to have sold them both off. I would be highly suspect of her actions with everything she had done to sell you a breeding pair at such an outragous amount of money. What will guarantee you will not have a litter of sick puppies? As for the idea it's too late to do anything about a possible current litter you could spay now regardless. IMO you could have a muchkarfer financial burned with an additional 1-5 more dogs.
