So many would-be or actual breeders don't even seem to think about any rights their prospective puppies should have to the best life possible. The ONLY way to ensure that situation is to have the entire system in place that is totally dedicated to breeding only dogs that are AKC registered, health certified with temperament and pedigrees/genetics very carefully considered and a long experience with dealing properly with pregnant/whelping/nursing females and puppies in trouble. And then that breeder has to know people and how to tell who is going to be a truly responsible and loving, caring owner. That part alone would be exhausting to me - just the endless talking to and picking the new parents, not to mention the research and study, the time, the vetting/testing, the money, the whole process of seeing a bitch through the pregnancy/whelping/nursing and then months of puppy care and all that that implies. To me only a situation like that gives Yorkie puppies their best chance of a a healthy, long and happy life with people who just want to love their Yorkie puppy.
