There has been a lot done in the past few years. So many people didn't even know about puppy mills, but it's a complex problem and it's the way some farmers earn a living. Missouri passed a lot of laws causing many of their mills to close down, but there was a back lash and so many dogs ended up in rescues and now people are angry about all the laws. Right now a huge part of the problem is that breeders need no license to sell over the internet, so there’s no law in place protecting these dogs. Right now with so many people worried about their jobs and finances there seems to be a lot of apathy involving the protection of dogs.
