Witch hazel is a very good product, but when it comes to the ears, stinky ears usually hide an underline issue, it can be as small as hairy ears that hold humidity, ears must be clean and kept dry, I have to clean my Prada's ears every two weeks, I have to remove the hairs inside her ears clean it with an ear rinse and apply a drying ear cream, ear mites usually cause a smell too and ear infections, so you need to check for all that and develop an ear cleansing regiment.
