I'll have to disagree with you here, there's no reason to produce more pets, if someone knows someone who wants a pet, instead of breeding a litter, they should tell them about the many rescues in shelter and pounds across the country. I'm of course not against all breeding, but it should be done to "preserve" the breed so only those with the best attributes should be breed. I'm sure that having a litter of puppies might be a fun thing for kids, but there are so many other things you can do with kids that don't involve reckless breeding.
