Don't worry so much about size. Unless your current baby is extra fragile. My vet says pup's stop growing at 18 months. While he might not get much taller or longer, your pup might gain an extra pound or two between 12-24 months. My friend's yorkie had a growth spurt at 24 months. She use to be just a little bit shorter than my pup, but now he's the short one! he still might have some growing to do. And like you said, how lucky can you get to find 2 healthy pups from bad breeders. Lightning rarely strikes twice. Good luck on your search.
