I have tiny pups too but I didn't purposely purchase them because they were tiny. I found Carter Christmas week last year and he wasn't all that far from me. I had no idea that he was going to be smaller than the standard -- I wasn't all that knowledgeable. Until last week, I thought Carter was still under 4# (3.6# to be exact). The vet's office must have had their scales recalibrated. He weighed 4.4# last monday at 18 months.
Cooper is 3.9# according to the recalibrated scales.
I didn't pay an exorbitant price for Carter or Cooper . . . in fact, Cooper was given to me by Carter's breeder.
Shana . . . please don't feel that you can't share you lil' one with us. You shouldn't feel the need to be a closet yorkie owner.
What I do have a problem with is those that breed tinies to be able to sell tinies at a cost that is way out of line in a scheme to cunningly market to those that don't know any better.
