Well welcome to YT. All I can urge you is to go to the vet as you have planned, and tell your tale to him. At least he might be able to tell if this female is pregnant. Given the lies the breeder told you, she may have a whole lot of dogs breeding, and who knows maybe this female is pregnant.
It also sounds that these two do need some medical care which I hope you are prepared for.
In terms of the male, get a belly band, change it frequently and at least the spraying won't be all over your house.
