Adding some canned food to encourage them to eat is a good idea. They will get the 'hang' of it.... If they miss a meal, they will most likely eat the next time as they will be hungry... not much different than fasting before a surgery/procedure.
Mine eat in the kitchen, about 5 feet away from each other. Tink has prescription food, which they all love, lol, so sometimes I will feed her in another room, on the bed or a chair (mine don't jump up by themselves).
I do spend about 15 minutes watching them to make sure they eat their own food and not everyone else's. I have more of a problem keeping the cats at bay while the dogs eat. |
