This is a tuff situation and tuff one to comment on. I am very sorry that you were hurt by this dog. I have been around pits all my whole life, I have never owned one but family members have. I dont think that I myself would ever take a pit into my home in a re homing situation. Just because you never know what their triggers are. You really can not know for sure how the animal will react in certain situations.

You do have to keep in mind... even though your injuries where caused by the animal it was not his fault. With the proper training he would not have done so.
