I read all the posts on YT about babies left on their own, unsupervised, in the yard, and I just cringe! That is at the top of my list of pet peeves, I guess because I have SEEN owls and hawks swooping down on my dogs with me standing within 10 feet of them! Years ago, I watched in horror as an owl carried off my little female chihuahua....absolutely horrific, and I will NEVER forget that....perhaps that accounts for my absolute refusal to allow any of my babies to be unsupervised and preach and warn every one of my new parents against it. Not to mention, PEOPLE STEAL THESE BABIES RIGHT OUT OF YOUR ARMS!! So, recently, I dreamed I was in my sun room, looking out the back window, watching my babies running around, having a ball....I was upset because I knew I should be out there with them....and all of a sudden, a huge hawk swooped up to the window, huge talons grabbing at the window where I was looking out.....I sat bolt upright in bed and screamed, as my son came to see if I was alright. Terrible dream...have to stop reading posts about unsupervised babies running around yards and neighborhoods! |
