Do you have the trap set up in a way that he can come out of the hole and than into the trap? If not that may be what is stopping him from leaving.
See if there is some way to surround the hole and the trap (bait the trap). or you could try to remove the trap, put moth balls in the hole and replace the earth. That way you can tell if he as entered the hole or has left the hole. Than plug it up once you know he has left. Remember they are nocturnal.. so he will most likely sleep during the day and make his exit at night. That is when you will want to check to see if the earth has been disturbed. |
Mothballs frighten me because they are toxic to dogs. I would make sure they are no where near any place my pups could get to.
