I do believe you are right Cathy
Last night we were gone to our oldest DS birthday party...came home and of course Jada and Bogie were going wild as they always do when we come home...right after that the odor came back somewhat. I am sure the d@mned thing is still under there. It has no way out other than into the live trap so surely it will want to come out sooner or later.
I guess if it isn't out soon we will be calling a wildlife exterminator of some sort.
