So far she is doing great with the chicken, rice and veggies, actually better than she has in a long time, so I don't want to rock the boat...I just want to be sure she's getting everything she needs. I would love to find a good dry food I can use when we travel and for free feeding when needed but I'm afraid to make any changes.
The only other thing they get right now is the Science Diet TD treats. |
We had the same problems as you with our Harry
I now
always home cook for him - chicken, rice and veggies and he's absolutely thriving on it - 16lbs of fit, active, slim, wonderful Yorkie-ness!!
I do keep kibble down for him all the time (in our case, Vets Kitchen, but I think that's probably 'over here').
He also has a Multivitamin/Multimineral Supplement every day which I personally think is very important.
I tried Harry on brown rice - but he definately prefers white, so I try to mix them together (he does tend to pick the brown out though...!!!).
I hope it continues to go well for you - I realise it's more work, but it's so worth it to know what's going into their little bodies...!!
