We just went through the same thing... barium swallow studies are very expensive. have you asked about pancreatitis? NO human food! fast for 24 hours. give a special homemade diet that is cheep: rice,chicken,tums. try this for one week, and see if any better. drain chicken fat well. next do a Amylase/lipase blood test. pancreatitis means can not digest FATS etc in the diet. do not feed human food! i can not stress this enough. Even when you or your family is eating foods that smell good, dogs can get sick from the smell! try putting your dog away in another room while you eat and try not to eat around him for awhile specially spicy foods or anything that smells good to us.
