My girl had some sort of reaction to her shots last year. It was her first set of shots since she turned 1 year old. She acted like she was in pain too. I don't remember exactly what she did, but I know I called the vet because she seemed to be in pain, and she didn't even act that way about her spay incision! They had me give her 1/2 of a baby aspirin. She was about 8 pounds at the time. The baby aspirin did help.

I think she had pain at the injection site. If you did it yourself, and you are inexperienced then yours is even more likely to have pain. Sometimes getting needles just hurts. My arm was sore from my flu shot! She is also probably mad at you!

My dad was a pediatrician and he NEVER gave the shots so the little ones wouldn't be mad at him. His nurses did it! That's another reason I won't even hold her while they stick her, I make them get an ass't to do it.
