She called me because the vet told her that regular bread could cause this, and that they have seen it many, many, times. She called her vet when they opened and her vet went to see xrays etc., and agreed with the emergency vet.

I heard of unbaked yeast bread causing a problem, the dough rises in stomach causing a blockage, but I've never heard of baked bread causing a problem. Praying for Petey, I hope everything goes well.
