I ONLY get girls, so I say the girl! I haven't had nearly as good of luck with boy dogs in the past as I have girl dogs. I LOVE my girls!

We also like having multiple dogs (currently have 4). They play together, keep each other company, sleep together, and they don't feel alone when we are gone. So, MAYBE both? However, like I said, I ONLY get girls now so that would sway my decision.
