My friend just bought a yorkie from the mall pet store over the weekend. She was posting it all over facebook. I know for a fact that she was not educated in the whole puppy mill and pet store relationship. Then went into town the kids were begging for a puppy and next thing you know they were puppy owners. I told her about the whole puppy mill issue when she returned. I felt so bad. You could see the sadness on her face. But I just told her that it was ok, she didn't know and all she should care about doing now is taking GREAT care of that puppy. Well today she just called me worried about her new baby girl. She noticed that she wasn't acting the way a puppy should so she took her into the vet today and it turns out she has an upper respiratory infection. That poor little thing. So not even a week later the puppy is sick and she is already having to pay lots of vet bills.
