DEAR LORD!!!!!! All I can do is shake my head.....and then tell you to find another vet. I have a vet I had been dealing with for 6 years and then I moved 40 minutes away. So, I tried a vet in the burbs where I live - BIG mistake, complete rip-off!!!! I ended up going back to my old vet and driving the 40 minutes. They don't have a bbunch of fancy equipment, and all of the bells & whistles that the last vet I went to has, but man, they're not trying to rob me either. The "new" vet told me $400+ to get CoCo spayed when I know I paid $129 for Sparkle to get spayed!!!! You know they're expensive when they start talking about payment plans for your baby's shots!
But I am going to have the humane soceity to get CoCo spayed. They do the spay, rabies shot, and microchip for $20, but you have to sign up for an appointment mkonths in advance, so CoCo is scheduled for May 18th.
Check around for vets in your area - even if you have to drive a little. It's worth it when it comes to your baby
