As for the pee smell, I always keep my male's belly shaved pretty close so that he doesn't get urine on his hair. That really seems to keep him smelling fresh, and I've never had him smell like pee.
He is also verrrrry attached to me. He loves my husband as well, but he makes it very clear who he prefers
