pooping in the house I've read some of the posts, seems like yorkies are somewhat famous for potty/poop training issues. I have an almost 3 year old female. She very quickly learned to pee outside. Pooping has always been an issue for her though. I don't know how common it is for yorkies or yorkie females to have problems with their anal glands but just about every time she gets groomed, the groomer needs to express her anal glands because of them being so full. I had to take her to the vet for a nail trim in between groomings - and again she was full. Vet expressed anal glands to find out she had an infection. We did weekly "expressions" at the vet until it was cleared up. She's due to go back next week for a checkup (it's been a month since infection cleared up) but now it seems as though she's rebelling with her pooping again. She is so much "Mama's Girl" that she will seldom ever go poop for anyone else but me outside and lately when I take her for her normal routine walk and I encourage her to go, she comes in the house and poops within half an hour. She knows it's wrong because she heads straight to her kennel. I don't know if any of this makes sense but just am looking for some advice. |
