 Giardia question
My baby Jake is almost 5 months old. When he had his 2nd set of shots, the vet said he had a slight case of giardia but since his stools were fine there was no reason to treat him.
Yesterday, I bought him in for his rabies shot and I had the rotating doctor who said she needed a stool sample and proceeded to put on gloves and reach up into his anus to get a sample. I was very upset and then saw that they added $53.00 on to my bill for this stool sample to go to the lab.
This doctor also suggested extra shots in the near future and said he should get neutered in 2 weeks and he will only be 5 months old. I thought he should be 6 months old as he is only 4-1/2 pounds.
