Natalie was 11 months when I got her. Her previous owner said she wouldn't wear a top knot but I kept trying. I would put it in and she would paw at it until she got it out and I'd put it right back in. She finally got use to it and don't pay any attention to it now. She was the same way about brushing her. Keep putting it up everytime she takes it out and he will get use to it...and I used the extra tiny hair bands so if she pulled it out it wouldn't pull her hair out.
