Thanks ladyjane for the links. Very informative. I must not be comfortable enough with my vet or I wouldn't be questioning things. I want to get the lump removed and tested. I trust her to do that. Perhaps I need to initiate a better dialog with her and have her answer some questions for me. The fact I had to google mast cell tumor myself and ask questions here was what made me uncomfortable about my vet. Was she assuming I knew what she was talking about? I will call and talk with her. If I still have that gut feeling, I will take Lexi for a second opinion. I am just hoping we can have it removed and be benign. But if it's not I need a vet who can lead us forward.
