If you are really interested in showing then contact your nearest breed or conformation club. That way you can meet people who show dogs and possibly find someone to teach you what you need to know. Go to the AKC website and find the place where you can search the clubs. That is the only way you are going to have a chance to really learn the things you need to know.
Yes, there are way too many dogs being bred by irresponsible people. Buying good healthy breeding stock or a show dog is going to cost you big bucks when you get to that point. In the mean time if you find someone who will teach you the ropes enjoy the experience of the show ring and all that goes with it. |
