I am sorry that you were mislead. We see that on here, a lot. The puppy is better off with you, it could have been dropped off at the animal shelter or worse. At least you are doing everything to take care of this tiny puppy. You have gotten good advice too. I also would suggest, taking the pup to your own vet. Get the Nutrical, and ask the Vet exactly what mixture you should be feeding and how often.
I recently had a foster puppy I had to bottle feed. The person who brought them in said the mother got hit by a car. (Probably a lie) He only said that, when we said the pups needed to stay with their mom until they were 8 weeks old (Fl law) He also gave us a fake address and phone number. We are not allowed to ask for photo ID any more
