For us it was the 'is my favourite toy in it's death throes' trick
Harry's best toy in the world is his Kong squeaky tennis ball. So I hide one in my desk drawer. If he goes into one of his barking flurries (there's a particular neighbour he hates, I'm not too keen either
) all I have to do is
one long, slow s-q-u-e-e-k with it...and he comes running woo hoo!
