Have you asked the vet why he thinks JJ is overweight? If your vet has this opinion because he/she says to have a micro-mini, fits-in-your-wallet, smaller-than-a-half-dollar yorkie, the overweight comment is invalid. I would be changing vets though... he/she should know better than to judge a book by it's cover.
I understand comments from strangers as Kaji is in the 7-8 lb range himself. I get the "what is
that?" "
It can't be a yorkie,
it's too big." comments all the time. FINE! You all win. He's a pitbull terrier mix pup! Happy now?

All kidding aside, size SO doesn't matter. It's the love, comfort, and happiness they give us that matters.
