Gracie is 5 pounds. She is not a "tea cup" either. When I purchased her she was expected to mature at 8 or 9 pounds but she turned out to be considerably smaller. I live in a "big dog" area so Gracie is considered to be a freak because she is so small compared to other dogs. I imagine if we lived in your area she would be considered to be a large Yorkie. I guess people just don't know much about the subject except what they are used to seeing.
I have seen a lot of ads in the NYC area for the so called "tea cup" Yorkies. I suppose that is what people want who live in small apartments although it is so sad that people breed them to be that way. Just ignore the ignorance and inform the ones who are interested in learning a thing or two about Yorkies. |
