I think it's very interesting to see the backstory as to how you picked your pet's name...whether it was because it's cute, because it has meaning, or it kind of just picked itself 
Luma's name was supposed to be Bijou. It is french for "tiny jewel" and that about sums up a little girl yorkie! Unfortunately my boyfriend was already against the idea of a frou-frou dog and hated the name...
and so we thought about his interests. Videogames. Typical 20 year old guy. There's a cute little floating yellow star who is very loveable, and it's name is Luma. And so we picked Luma. It's still cute
