When I got BJ I took her to the Vet for the required exam. He combed thru her hair with a flea comb and showed me little white flakes which he said indicated fleas. She was only 7weeks old. I paid him for a supposed flea treatment. I combed her today and noticed these flakes again. I wouldn't know how to identify fleas unless I actually saw a flea! I am charge over $100.00 for each visit to get her shots and exam. Do any of you know if this is an indication of fleas and if so why the treatment didn't work? She is due for her last series of shots incluing rabies and then I have to have her spayed I guess before 6 months. She will be 12 weeks old the 29th of Feb.
I raised toy poodles but never with them or any of the dogs I have had did I have to deal with fleas. Thanks.
