Wow, it's so refreshing to hear of a breeder who wants to keep them till 12 weeks. let alone longer. Even though the pup has stopped nursing, mom is teaching important socialization skills and inhibition of the biting reflex. A good momma will also start the beginning of potty training and nudge the pup over to the pee pad when she knows the pup has to go. Also, a good breeder will be teaching good socialization skills as well. Leave your pup with the breeder as long as she thinks it's wise, smaller pups have trouble with hypoglycemia, which can be life threatening, and you have to treat it immediately. Be proud, it sounds like you may have found a good breeder!
