Nobody claimed her after many notices and newspaper ads. Anyway, she weighs 3.5 lbs and the vet figures she is about 7 years old. She had a lot of bad teeth that had to be removed and I think she has "leather ear?" Recently she has started having what may be seizures. I had a Siberian Husky that had epilepsy and Tootie's episodes are not really the same. With Tootie, she will all of the sudden fall to her side and shake slightly for a couple of seconds, then she gets up and seems OK. It's almost like she loses her balance .They don't seem to be aggravated by exercise or eating, but I'm getting really worried about my little baby. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!
when she falls over does it appear like she is running with her legs or appear to be swimming without water? Lorraine mentioned perhaps mild epilepsy as a possiblity, or it could be allergies, genetic issues all the nutrical in the world will not control these and should only used if she is not eating her normal diet. Signs of hypoglycemia is drowsiness, staggering, becoming disoriented, loss of balance advanced signs the dog collapses with little eye movement and if not caught will go unconscience.

Depends on the frequency of the seizure if theyre often I would have her blood levels checked first ruling out genetic issues, if theyre normal next step would be checking with a neurologist.

god bless you for taking her in
