I would speak to a vet as well. We use Frontline Plus with Katie Scarlett and so far have not had any problems. But this will be our first spring/summer with her. We live in the country as well. I hope it will work good. If not, you can bet I'll be speaking with our vet to change. I had heard so many good things about it before we got our KS, but now I have heard lots of complaints about it recently.
