Welcome. I'm glad you found YT. There are many here who have Yorkies with long tails. Actually in Europe it is against the law to dock the tail. It should not be done after the pup is 3 days old as the cartilage forms and becomes bone.
If the dad is purebred but has no papers then it really means nothing except that you cannot register the pup. Since she is a pet Yorkie there is no need to register her anyway.
Her fur will grow a little bit more every week. It takes time to get really long and most pet Yorkies don't get a coat that reaches the floor without a lot of work. Comb her everyday if she appears to need it or not so that she will be used to the grooming routine when she is older and really needs it. You will have trouble if you wait until the coat is long. |
