I keep all my adults, teens and puppies on puppy food my oldest adult is 7 and I have NO overweight dogs. The reason for this is because theyre very active, I do not kennel my dogs, they are free to play and run inside on rainy days and outs running and play on warmer days. Some may disagree with this, but it works for me, I do not like thin or lean yorkies...and yes I can still feel the back bones on some of my bitches even with the higher protein diet. |
O Wise One is my term of endearment for you. I have grown to look for your post when I need help. I feel that you are very knowledgable concerning our babies. i know you give great advice and are trusted on here to have the right answer.
Okay, I am going to keep her on the puppy food. Ya know, Ceeby has never eaten puppy food of any kind until now. he loves his new dry and the wet ceser's. So i am going to leave him on it too.
His dry is Science Diet Nature's Best.
