I use a Buddy Belt also but might try the Choke Free. I like having a spare harness (well actually a few).

I will say with the Buddy Belt I had to "introduce" it to Sophie Kate she was not a fan at first.

Question, did someone say the Choke Free attaches with Velcro? I looked at the picture that was posted it thats what it looks like to me.
