That sounds like what i would use it for. I am amazon every other day, looking for books, (esp free ones). I have trouble seeing too, I wear bifocals and just found out i need special computer glasses for work at a call center due to eye strain. But, I take my glasses off to read usually.
I really think the size is the main thing i have been debating about.
