When I trained for lay down it was sit first then I actually used my hand on the shoulders and gently showed lay down by pushing and my dog went down-of course the issue was them rolling over for tummy rubs...no matter how you do it rewards and consistency in effort they'll get it. |
Hey thanx! By now, he actually has lay down. And sit. And shake.
Working on crawl on the couch. He will do a little but we run out of couch length. He won't do it on the floor. I can't reach down far enough he lays down a ways away, so he is basically just popping up and walking for the treat.
Can't get him to do turns. He just backs up, won't circle.
Roll over isn't working he doesn't want to get on back and just stands up to try to get treat.
Not sure what to attempt besides keep on crawl. He definitely is ready for something new. Maybe I should buy a clicker too.
