I'd say 4 weeks is much to early to be weaning them, but I don't have experience with poodles. Are these toy poodle puppies or larger? In any case, I would definitely be putting mom in with those pups making sure she nurses them until you know they are accepting puppy food with no help. I've got a litter of 4 Biewer puppies that are 7 weeks old and they are just within the last week no longer nursing. They try at times, but mom mostly says "no way" anymore. They are all eating small dry kibble just fine. |
