Antibiotics can take days to show effect. I would not give up on them after three doses if you did not see improvement. They can still show symptoms of infection even after the antibiotic is at therapeutic level in the blood and starts working on the infection - the symptoms will just start lessening.
I agree w the others; I def would keep on top of this if the antibiotics do not work. I would ask your vet when he thinks you should start seeing improvement on this antibiotic. |
