I had two guinea pigs growing up. One actually lived a fairly long life, if I remember correctly. It became a big pain though - nobody ever wanted to clean the cage. It was a big process, LOL. They got very smelly though so the cage cleaning HAD to be done. Our guinea pigs were not very social so they did not like being handled by us very much, hence I found them very boring, but I am sure lots of guinea pigs enjoy attention more. Also their nails got soooo long and had to be trimmed. If they weren't, poop would get stuck in them, which was GROSS. |
