I think it depends on your dog's coat and what kind of issues you are having. Some fur is more sturdy than others. I used to have an issue with Gracie's ends getting tangled about 3 days after her bath. I started using a spray conditioner that is intended for after bath or between baths. It's has worked great. I just use it on her ends though and she does have a long coat.
Sometimes when I take Gracie's top knot out her hair is kind of messy so I give it a light spray of water and it helps me to comb it out without a problem. I never brush her until after I have combed through her entire coat to make sure all the tangles are gone. Brushing can cause breakage when the coat is snarled. |
