Well; I'm not one of the lucky ones so far. Lucy has LP, MVD, and now bladder stones for which she just had surgery. But I kind of had the 'heads up' that she might not be in perfect health before I got her - so I really can't complain.
I've been pretty luck with all my dogs before Lucy. My little Maltese was in perfect health (he did tear his ACL whilst jumping) up until he got doggie alzheimers when he was about 11.
My Westie has skin allergies which require some special shampoo and the occasional trip to the Vet and steroids. Ringo's also had one bout of gastroenteritis after getting into some chicken bones.
But my little Lucy has been to the doctor more than myself in the past 2 years!
