I'm concerned I didn't do "down" right. I didn't know better and when I began teaching immediately was using the word instead just taking him through the motion and marking it with "good". Like I said he will go into "lay down" from "sit" if I use the hand motion too. But if I were to say "sit" he wouldn't pop right back up into position like I saw pups on youtube do. And he still looks at me clueless if I just say "lay down".
Do you all think I should start over from the beginning with "lay down" or just continue what I'm doing daily and hope he eventually learns the word and even will go into lay down from standing and what not!?! |
