I'm sorry your baby is sick. If it is a thyroid problem, even thyroid tumors, this would be very easy to diagnose with a full thyroid panel sent to a lab (my whole human family has had every thyroid problem imaginable).
Please see another vet, ideally a specialist.
Be careful with the Vienna sausage. It is extremely high in fat and could cause your baby additional problems like pancreatitis.
