I prefer small dogs, but I don't look down at anyone who prefers large ones either, or cats or any other furkid for that matter. Weird how some people don't get it and want to force their preferences on others
I was shocked that a volunteer for rescued cats, at one of those 'adopt a rescue days' at Petsmart, went after my little boy Nicky. She shush him, stamped her feet loudly and yelled for Nicky not to get near the cats! The cats were up on cages and not in danger of being touched by Nicky. Most of the cats were bigger than Nicky and he knows better than to get too close (he had an experience with an angry cat already) but he still likes cats.
After I recuperated from my shock and noticed how Nicky wanted desperately to live the store and avoid this woman, I approached her to let her know what the ramifications of her treatment of my baby would be and I dared her to try it again, this time I was ready for her

.
Long story short, I didn't bring it up to Petsmart management because I figure she's volunteering for those poor cats and so I gave her a pass after I put the fear of God into her.
Management brought it up to me. Apparantly, another customer witness the entire thing and complaint to the manager. I explained the incident to the manager and warned him that I would not be responsible for my own actions if that woman bullied my 6 lbs. furchild again.
Later, I was told by an employee that the lady I had this problem with, was a "cat person" and disliked dogs

What?????
The lady hasn't been back to Petsmart, that I know of. Which is a good thing because I felt so guilty after I reacted soooo slowly when my baby was bullied in my presense, that I was just aching for another crack at it
I guess Petsmart took care of this problem for me because she was, in a sense, a guest (?) in their store, but if she had been a customer, I doubt they could have done anything (???) I wish they could keep the weirdos away
